Once upon a time, there was a girl named Maiia. She was nine years old, brave and kind. Her dark eyes shone like stars, and her long brown braids reached her waist. Maiia loved music more than anything in the world.

This violin is no ordinary one, Grandma always said. It holds an ancient power  the power of Music. Whoever plays it with a pure heart can overcome any evil.

Maiia remembered every word. And one bright spring morning, the violin began to glow with a soft golden light. Maiia understood at once  the Magic Forest was calling her. It was time to go!

Chapter 2. The Magic Forest

The forest greeted Maiia with silence. The trees were enormous  taller than the tallest buildings. Their branches wove together overhead like the arms of giants. Fireflies flickered between the leaves, even though it was still daytime.

The path wound like a little stream, this way and that. The scent of flowers filled the air. Maiia walked bravely, holding her violin firmly under her arm. Her heart sang a quiet, steady song.
