Whispers She Heard

Talia Kaskamin doesn't believe in coincidences.

Her instincts as a journalist tell her that the brutal murder of a wealthy heiress in the city and the killing of a young woman in a remote northern town are connected. But who would believe her if she claimed that her premonitions, disturbing dreams, and the eerie feeling of being watched were more than just figments of her imagination?

The past has a way of reopening old wounds. Whispers in the dark. Shadows she can never outrun.

As Talia searches for the truth, she soon realizes that someone else is searching for her.

Some voices are silenced forever.

Others continue to whisper.

Whispers She Heard

PROLOGUE

I woke up screaming.

For a moment, I couldn't see or hear anything. It was as though I'd been buried deep underground, in a place where I couldn't tell up from down, surrounded by darkness and silence. Then I became aware of the cold creeping beneath my clothes, making my skin prickle.

There was a sound, too. Something faint and strange, almost like wind rustling through leaves. But it wasn't coming from outside. It seemed to be coming from somewhere inside my head, a soft, persistent whisper.
