A NEW AGE, A NEW EARTH

A BLUE PEARL IN SPACE

A blue pearl in space,

Being a temple of life,

In deep and black space.

Somewhere in this infinitely vast universe there is a galaxy. At first sight, this galaxy seems just like any other of the almost uncountable number of galaxies in this universe. And in a certain way, it is just like any other galaxy.

However, this particular galaxy harbors a special star system near its outer rim, which in turn is home to a little blue-glowing pearl. Upon closer inspection, this blue pearl in the blackness of space turns out to be a planet of medium size which is bearing a vast amount of water on its surface.

Why is this planet so special to the observing eye? This is indeed a valid question. This little blue-glowing planet is so special because it is harboring life and has been home to countless lifeforms for millions of years, if not more.

It is truly incredible. Such a small speck of dust compared to the infinite vastness of universal space, it has been teeming with life in all imaginable as well as unimaginable forms for a long time and will hopefully continue to support life in the future to come.

At first, there were only small, single-celled lifeforms on that planet, but over time the lifeforms became more complex, starting out in the planet’s oceans and then slowly beginning to explore the shores of its continents and even the air.

After a while, or rather in the very recent history of the planet, a new species appeared. Although all the lifeforms on the planet were extremely diverse and a true testament to the creative powers of the universe, this one species was special because it showed signs of high intelligence and self-awareness.

It learned how to make fire, how to domesticate animals and till the land around it to produce sources of food. For a long time, the species was relatively small in numbers and lived mostly in harmony with the planet and its nature. In short, it learned to live in balance with its environment and seemed to genuinely love the ground it was living on. After all, most of its civilizations and cultures decided to call their world Earth in their respective languages. And they decided to call themselves humans or human beings.

Unfortunately, in recent times, the human species seems to have forgotten most its past and have stopped living in harmony and peace with nature and their planet. There are many theories about how this sudden change in attitude came about. Some think it was their discovery of technology through the aid of what they call sciences, others suggest that at some point in time the humans were overcome by the negative attributes of their minds which often manifest as greed, violence and an intense sense of separation between them.

However, what is more important is the fact that their mental attitudes and behaviors have become a danger for the planet and all lifeforms currently existing on it, including themselves. The technological progress of the human species in recent times is certainly proof of the creative powers of their logical minds but in their present state, the human species is using its creative powers for harmful and destructive purposes.

They are at war with nature as well as themselves, and have mostly used their logic and reasoning to create weapons of mass destruction which could easily wipe out all life on the entire planet. And although those weapons are mostly just objects symbolizing power, they have been put to use against other human beings at one point in the past.

Currently, the human species finds itself in a state of deep outer and inner turmoil. There are great challenges they will have to face very soon. Challenges which they have brought upon themselves. Earth is undergoing climatic changes at the moment which will also change the face of the planet. The human population is constantly growing each passing year and most of the planet is still covered in war. Sometimes because of political reasons, sometimes for economic reasons and often because of the dwindling of the resources they are currently using in their daily lives.

Fortunately, there are some members among the human species who are spending their lives and energy trying to turn the tides of humanity’s fate. Some do it by developing cleaner and more efficient technologies and others have recognized the current insanity of the human mind and have started taking on more harmonious and peaceful lifestyles which are based on universal moral values and a more spiritual approach to life on Earth and beyond it.

Only time will tell if they will be able to really turn the tides of the human fate for the better and that way keep them from experiencing terrible loss and devastating catastrophes on a global scale.

At the current point in time, contact with this planet is not recommended and should be delayed to a later point in time, provided the human species has regained its inner harmony and outer balance with the nature around it. For that purpose, planet Earth should be kept under observation until the outcome of humanity’s decisions has been determined.

This is what the report by an extraterrestrial entity about Earth and our species could sound like. It is by no means only negative but it certainly contains a warning that something is currently going terribly wrong on this planet, and specifically with us humans.

We all know that in the distant past, this was not always the case. There was once a time when we were able to live peacefully and harmoniously together with ourselves and the nature around us.

How and why this changed in the past does not matter as much as the fact that a variety of global problems are staring all of humanity right in the face. This means that there is not much time left to actually do something about those problems and find viable solutions for them before they turn into full-blown catastrophes and possibly take most of the lifeforms currently living on Earth with them.

How can we best find solutions to those problems and through that avoid global disaster? It is my understanding that we can best work on solutions and implementing them through peace, global and lasting peace that is.

It is also my understanding that not all is yet lost, that there is still time to make a change and through that change make the world a better place for all of us and the myriad lifeforms we share this beautiful planet with.

Adopting a philosophy of lasting peace and putting it to use in our daily lives, we will be able to effect real change and take the next step in our evolution which – contrary to the widely held opinion – will not mean our transformation into technologically enhanced cybernetic beings, but rather our becoming a more loving, harmonious and peaceful race. A race that is completely in tune with Earth and the life it is sharing the planet with.

This will be our future if we can just take it upon ourselves to willingly make a change in both our lifestyles as well as our attitude toward life and the true nature of our universe.

The ways of how to do this and why it is necessary at the present moment will be the topic of this book. It was written in order to effect positive change in the minds of the people reading it and to encourage them to make that small but at the same time very hard step toward a different way of life.

We have the future not only of ourselves but also of the whole planet in our hands at this very moment and not only our children but also all the other lifeforms on Earth depend on us doing the right thing and stopping the insanity we are currently caught in.

Just like the old saying goes, from great power comes great responsibility. It is time that we as the human species take responsibility for the mistakes we have made in the past and try to correct them. It is time for us to take a different path in life than the one of our ancestors. And, above all, it is time for us to stop making the same mistakes over and over again, generation after generation. This vicious cycle has to be finally broken, and who else can do it if not us right here and right now?

It is my sincere hope that we humans will make the right decision when the time comes and opt for peace, love and harmony instead of war, violence, greed and hatred. This book will be my contribution to that goal, and since we all have to start somewhere, it is always best to start with oneself, to start changing oneself.

This book is therefore meant as a source not only of information but, rather, of wisdom and reason. Most of the information and knowledge in this book has been said and written before, in some cases a few hundred years or even millennia ago.

Sadly, however, true wisdom can never be taught, it can only be gained through personal insight by each individual alone. The information and knowledge in this book are therefore meant as signposts leading to that sometimes ancient wisdom. It is worth knowing that the words in this book can only guide us to that wisdom which will give you the power to make a positive change in your life, but you will have to discover and claim that wisdom for yourself all on your own. This is the way true wisdom works and how it is different from knowledge.

May all human beings accept the words in this book in sincere openness and with a mind full of peace, love and harmony.

THE MULTIDIMENSIONAL NATURE OF TRUE PEACE

Peace has many forms,

As within so without, right?

A diverse unit.

When most people think of peace, they tend to have only certain aspects and facets in mind of what true and lasting peace really encompasses. Some people tend to think of what is commonly called inner peace, while others usually conceptualize peace as certain behaviors and attitudes toward life which create what is usually seen as outer peace, or the manifestation of peace in the material, outer world.

However, true and lasting peace is really a combination of certain concepts, behaviors and attitudes toward life. This is also what makes true peace inherently a rather complex concept to grasp in its entirety and may be the reason why true peace seems impossible to achieve on Earth at the present moment.

Still, nothing could be further from the truth, for true and lasting peace is very much achievable through the understanding of its multi-faceted nature and the adequate application of its many dimensions in our daily lives.

Although true peace is really a multidimensional phenomenon and has many layers of meaning, it can generally be described as having two main aspects to it.

One aspect being what is generally known as spiritual, emotional or inner peace. This facet of true peace encompasses all dimensions of the human psyche, our emotions and our minds. Of course, this includes both the conscious as well as the subconscious mind. Only when these aspects of our inner being are unified and exist together in harmony, true inner peace can become a reality.

The other aspect of true peace entails the various manifestations of peace in our material, outer world through adequate behaviors, peaceful attitudes toward life and moral decision-making. This applies especially to all the different kinds of positive action that we can perform on a daily basis in order to be of service to others, helping them become more peaceful themselves, and to generally create more peace in the world around us.

Of course, there are many more secondary aspects that together create or distort true and lasting peace, and those will be a topic of their own later in the book. For now, it is important to know that true peace behaves like two sides of the same coin. They may have different faces but they are still part of the same unit, and none of them would be complete without the other.

In addition to true peace being a multidimensional phenomenon, its different layers are often also built upon each other. Since our actions in this world always have their origin in our thoughts and beliefs, in other words in our minds, the dimension of inner peace can safely be considered the source of what form outer peace – distorted or not – takes in our world.

This does not mean that inner peace is the absolute source of outer peace, however. It just means that the state of our inner being, our emotions, thoughts and beliefs, often create the material circumstances and situations that we find ourselves in. Sometimes, we are surprised by the situations and circumstances we appear to be placed in, and at other times we almost expected things to turn out the way they did. Since this is something that most of us have already experienced more than once in our lives, it can be considered as some kind of proof that your inner world mostly determines the state of the outer world you find yourself in.

Because these two main aspects of true peace are so closely related to each other, they need to be understood as being one and the same, and therefore their principles need to be applied and lived as a whole in our daily lives in order to create lasting peace.

True and lasting peace will never be achieved in our world otherwise, because these two main aspects will act and behave like counterweights to each other if only one of them is actively pursued by us in an attempt to create peace on this world and within ourselves.

What needs to be done, then, is understand the complex and multifaceted nature of these two aspects of true peace and make use of them in symbiosis with each other. For, in truth, one is created out of the other. From inner peace comes outer peace, and from outer peace comes inner peace. As above, so below. As within, so without.

In the past, many people have tried to promote peace in this world. Some have formed peaceful movements, other have written philosophical texts promoting peace and yet others have tried to bring peace into this world by leading by example. Although those various attempts of creating peace were successful to a certain degree, complete true and lasting peace has not been achieved, yet. There are still wars being fought, violent acts being committed and hostilities being propagated throughout our world.

Just by looking at these facts, it becomes clear that there is still a lot of work to be done toward creating true and lasting peace. Although all the effort and energy of those wise and courageous people who tried to propagate peace in this world in the past have made an essential contribution toward more peace and left us with a powerful legacy, the work is not done, yet. And that is why it is our responsibility to build upon this legacy and finally make that step leading us toward a world full of true and lasting peace.

We cannot let their work and effort go to waste because not only our present, but also the future of this planet and all future generations depend on it. They need us to make a change in the here and now, and turn this world away from war, violence, greed and hatred.

Let us become the guardians of Earth instead of its destroyers and bring it back onto a path of peace, love and harmony. Humanity has been at war with itself and nature for far too long, many millennia, if not more. We should not be discouraged by this fact but, rather, see it as all the more reason to finally change that for good.

However, when doing that, we also need to avoid repeating the mistakes our forebears made in the past, but we should not ignore them altogether, either. Rather, what we need to do is learn from their mistakes and take responsibility for our own current behavior, so that we do not run the danger of repeating those mistakes and even making new mistakes in the process.

Let our ancestors be our teachers from whom we can draw wisdom and build upon the work of all those who have tried creating true and lasting peace in the past.

In order to do so, it is first necessary to have an understanding – preferably a deep understanding rather than a superficial one – of the basic principles which govern all of our universe and, by extension, also our current reality here on Earth. Through the comprehension of those principles, it will become possible for us to make better sense of why things are currently the way they are in our world, as well as how we can make use of those principles in order to implement true and lasting peace.

Then, it will be necessary to shine a light at the reasons why true and lasting peace isn’t already a reality here on Earth. From that, we can gain a perspective of what might have gone wrong in the past and why true peace was not possible at those points in time. This will provide us with an understanding of what we need to avoid and what we can do better on our path to achieving true and lasting peace for ourselves and all other lifeforms on this planet.

And lastly, what we need to do is work on finding appropriate strategies which will enable us to implement true and lasting peace not only inside ourselves but also in the world around us. Those strategies can encompass anything from thought patterns to behaviors to conscious actions, aimed at creating true peace. This will take up a whole section of the book later on.

To most of the people reading this book, it will have become clear by now that this will not be a simple endeavor, for true and lasting peace is something which needs to penetrate and infuse every aspect and every fiber of our lives as well as our collective attitude toward life in general.

However, this does not mean that this endeavor will not be full of joy, happiness, fulfillment and even easiness. It all depends on how we choose to tackle this problem of global non-peace and how easy, happy and joyous we make this journey for ourselves. Just like an old master once said, there is always more than one way to achieve something. The result will be the same eventually, but whether you make it hard for yourself or decide to take the easy road is entirely up to you.

There is one more point which needs to be addressed when it comes to the complexity of true and lasting peace. In order to understand what true peace is all about, is will be necessary for us to expand our mental horizons, so to speak, and be open for ideas and concepts most of us are normally not familiar with on a daily basis. In fact, this is not just a way to make understanding true peace easier, it is much more than that. Indeed, it is almost essential to understanding this type of complete and wholesome peace. The reason for this is that our current understanding of ourselves and the world around us is incomplete and lacking in certain aspects, which can be easily proven by the fact that war, violence, greed and hatred are still existing on our planet. If we knew and completely understood what true and lasting peace is all about, war and many other negative influences in our lives would be a thing of the past.

This is why it is important to be open to new information, knowledge and wisdom. For some people, the concepts and ideas in this book might be unheard of and shocking in one way or another. To others, it might seem like make-belief or the delirious fantasies of a young author. All that can be asked for at this point is to just be open to the ideas and concepts written down in this book. See if you can contemplate them deep within yourself and then decide whether they can help you achieve true peace within yourself and in the world around you.

This is all anyone could ever ask of you, and so I will not ask for more than that.

YIN AND YANG – THE LAW OF BALANCE

Yin and Yang are one,

The universal balance,

Black and white merging.

The principle of balance, which is called Yin and Yang in many Eastern traditions, may be one of the oldest – if not the oldest – universal principles known to humankind.

Many people have already seen the famous symbol of Yin and Yang at some point in their lives. They have seen the round shape of a circle with a beautiful curve separating the circle into a black slice with a white dot and a white slice with a black dot. The shape of this symbol in itself is perceived by many as being both quite beautiful and symmetrical. It almost looks like a white and a black coy carp circling each other in a lotus pond, thus creating this beautiful and symmetrical pattern of shapes.

However, other than perceiving the symbol of Yin and Yang as beautiful, most people don’t seem to know much about it when it comes to its meaning and the universal principle it is symbolizing for everyone to see but only for a few to understand up until now.

The shape of the symbol of Yin and Yang is a testament to a deep understanding of the principle of balance which governs our whole three-dimensional universe and, therefore, also our own reality. The two coy carp-like shapes are placed at the exact opposite sides on the inside of the circle and each of them has a small dot being the color of its opposite. When looked at as a whole, the shapes in this symbol are perfectly balanced. There is never too much of one element anywhere in the symbol, they are perfectly evened out across the surface. In short, the two elements are in perfect balance and harmony with each other.

This almost sacred principle of balance is also what creates symmetry in our universe as we currently perceive it. There is symmetry everywhere we look, if we only look closely enough. The orientation of the petals of a flower, the positions of the various branches of a tree, the spiral shape of our own galaxy, even artificial structures like buildings or the design of modern airplanes contain certain symmetries. Because if they didn’t, they would very probably just collapse and not work in the way they are supposed to work.

There are also other kinds of symmetry which are not easily recognizable as such at first. This includes, for instance, the position of the various planetary bodies in our star system at any given point in time. When the planets are in perfect alignment with each other – a phenomenon that is extremely rare due to the different velocities with which the planets go around the sun – symmetry can be easily seen and recognized. However, even when the planets are not in perfect alignment with each other, there is a certain symmetry of forces there which keeps the planets and other celestial bodies on their respective orbits. In mathematics, this would be described as a kind of vectoral symmetry where two vectors – in this case both the centrifugal and gravitational force of the sun – pull at the planetary bodies in opposite directions, thus keeping them balanced in their orbits.
