Śrī Dhūmāvatī Ayuta-nāma

Śrī Dhūmāvatī Ayuta-nāma sets down the ten thousand eight hundred names of Śrī Dhūmāvatī, composed by Maharṣi Viṣṇu. Each name is given as a ready formula of offering in three layers: the Devanāgarī, the IAST transliteration and the meaning. The book is arranged as a year-long circle of home pūjā: thirty names a day for three hundred and sixty days. It opens with the editors plain instructions: how to prepare the place and the altar, how the vartikā is offered, why the mantras are read in a whisper, how the circle is begun and how it is completed. Before each days names stand the protective Gāyatrī-Śakti, the viniyoga and the root mantra. The names are gathered into twenty-two ridges, from smoke, stillness and emptiness to the peace of the end. A book for those who come to Śrī Dhūmāvatī by the way of devotion and are ready to give a whole year to the practice. A book of the Tantra Shakti series.
