Śrī Gāyatrī Ayuta-nāma

Śrī Gāyatrī Ayuta-nāma sets down the ten thousand eight hundred names of Śrī Gāyatrī, composed by Maharṣi Viṣṇu. Each name is given as a ready formula of offering in three layers: the Devanāgarī, the IAST transliteration and the meaning. The book is arranged as a year-long circle of home pūjā: thirty names a day for three hundred and sixty days, in the hour before dawn. It opens with the editors plain instructions: the place and the altar, the offering of the vartikā, reading in a whisper, the beginning and the completion of the circle. Before each days names stand the protective Gāyatrī-Śakti, the viniyoga and the root mantra of Gāyatrī. The names are gathered into twenty-one ridges: the speech of the Mother, the light before dawn, protection and the enclosure, maternal love and the ten roads, from the road of love to the road of recognition. A book of the Tantra Shakti series.
