Важно помнить:
После was / were не используется другой вспомогательный глагол.
Was для единственного, were для множественного.
Story: Yesterday Was a Good Day
Yesterday was a good day. I was at home in the morning. The weather was sunny, and I was happy. I was reading a book and listening to music. My brother was at school, but my sister was at home too.
In the afternoon, we were in the park. The park was quiet, and there were many flowers and trees. We were walking slowly and enjoying the sun. My friends were at the playground. They were playing football and laughing.
In the evening, we were having dinner together. The food was delicious, and the mood was very good. After dinner, I was watching a short film, and my sister was drawing pictures. The day was calm and comfortable, and we were all relaxed.
Yesterday was a good day because we were together, the weather was nice, and we were enjoying simple moments. I was tired at night, but I was happy.

Grammar Focus
Past Simple для правильных глаголов используется, чтобы рассказать о действиях, которые произошли в прошлом.
Форма:
subject + verb + -ed
Примеры:
I watched a movie yesterday. – Я посмотрел фильм вчера.
She cleaned her room last weekend. – Она убирала комнату в прошлые выходные.
We played football in the park. – Мы играли в футбол в парке.
Отрицательные предложения:
I did not (didn’t) watch TV yesterday. – Я не смотрел телевизор вчера.
He didn’t listen to music. – Он не слушал музыку.
Вопросительные предложения:
Did you watch a movie yesterday? – Ты смотрел фильм вчера?
Did she clean her room? – Она убирала комнату?
Важно помнить:
После did / didn’t глагол всегда в начальной форме.
Для правильных глаголов в утвердительной форме просто добавляем -ed.
Наречия времени, которые часто используют: yesterday, last weekend, last night, two days ago.
Story: Last Weekend
Last weekend was fun. On Saturday, I cleaned my room in the morning. Then I cooked breakfast for my family. After breakfast, I walked in the park and played football with my friends. We talked, laughed, and enjoyed the sun.
In the afternoon, I watched a new movie. The film was interesting, and I really liked it. I listened to music while I was writing new words in my notebook. My sister painted a picture, and my brother studied for his school test.
On Sunday, I visited my grandparents. We walked in their garden, picked flowers, and talked about our week. I helped them cook lunch, and we ate together. In the evening, I read a book and planned my next week.
Last weekend was busy but happy. I did many things, learned new words, and spent time with my family. It was a good weekend.
