Chapter 1: Hello! Nice to Meet You
Grammar Focus: Verb to be (am / is / are)
Глагол to be – базовый глагол в английском языке.
Он используется, чтобы:
представиться
сказать, откуда вы

В английском предложении глагол всегда обязателен.
Формы глагола to be в настоящем времени:

Примеры:

Важно помнить:
Нельзя сказать I Anna или She manager.
В реальной речи чаще используются сокращения: I’m, you’re, he’s.
Глагол to be часто используется в знакомствах и первых разговорах.
