After we choose all the food, we go to the cashier. The cashier scans all the items. Then we pay for the food. We can pay with cash or a card. After paying, we put the bags in our shopping cart or take them home.

Sometimes we go to a small shop near our house. We can buy bread, milk, and snacks there. The shop assistant is friendly. I say: «Hello! How are you?» The assistant answers: «I am fine, thank you.» Polite words are important.

We also use English phrases at the shop. We can ask: «How much is this?» or «Do you have this in a bigger size?» We can say: «I want this, please.» Learning these words helps us buy food in English.

Shopping for food is easy and fun. I can talk about what I buy: bread, eggs, milk, fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, drinks, snacks, and more. I can also describe prices: «It is two dollars.» or «It is five pounds.»

At home, we put the food in the fridge or cupboards. We wash vegetables and fruit. Then we cook meals or eat snacks. Food shopping is important for the family. It helps us eat healthy and have everything we need.
