Those who know love

Those who know love

Help others in need,

Help souls wearing chains

To eventually be freed.

Look after those in trouble,

The sick and the dying,

Sometimes failing

But always still trying.

Those who know love

Nurture their children with care,

For they are the hope for a future,

To give freely and bring love to bare.

For the ones we cherish

And love the most,

The gift we are given

Is the love we can host.

Love is for the lucky

To feel everyday that they live,

Impoverished is the life, without love

To feel and to others give.

Wonderful indeed,

When the long game is over,

All memories to save,

To have received true love and remember

The much love that they gave.

Shadows

I have seen her in the shadows of a thousand dreams,

I have met her before, oft times, it seems.

In rooms full of strangers and in crowded places,

I felt her presence strong and clear.

Her eyes sometimes sad, as I wiped away her tear.

I reached for her mind and she held out her hand,

I reached for her lips and she gave me her heart.

Such feelings of joy, such feelings of love,

I know from my mind will never impart.

When the worlds of two strangers somehow collides,

Somewhere between the earth and the stars all alone…

When the wings of chance, appears in a life,

No need for regrets, no pasts to atone.

When we have journeyed, through the years long past,

Cold mornings, rain, and sometimes deep snow…

To the sun drenched mountains,

And the salt blown sea, far below.

It’s a time for living, with time yet to spare,

A time for giving and leaving, enough time, always to care.

Waiting here

As I wait here, listening to the sound of the ocean,

I feel my true love’s presence and so much devotion.

As I wait here, watching the clouds drifting by,

I reflect on our lives filled with thoughts emotions,

Time cant deny.

As I wait here, feeling the seas gentle breeze,

Thinking of her, I am reminded, of a thousand melodies.

I feel her touch on the wind, as it blows through my hair,

My great comfort is to know she is always there.

I think of her face and her smile, when she is kissed by the sun,

I think of her touch, when each day is done.

Eventually we will walk, hands held together,

Confident in each other, our future to share…

Free to walk tall, without regrets,

Without a care.

In full of time, and under heavenly skies,

We will know we were loved, life’s greatest prize.

Walk with me

Walk along the road with me,

To see the mountains high and free,

To see the valleys and oceans deep,

Collect the memories, and forever keep.

Take a ride through life with me,

Sometimes slow, sometimes fast,

Things to see and places go,

Will leave us breathless and aghast.

Hold my hand, touch my mind,

Kiss me gently, very slow,

The road is long, the road is wide,

Together we will discover, the ways to go.

Two hearts beating, the clouds above

To the rhythm of life, with happiness and love.

Endless days of reason and rhyme,

Just to know, you will be always mine.

You are the poem

You are the poem I was longing to write,

Words, well chosen, never contrite.

The lines we compose, just every day,

Make us both happy, in so many ways.

Our thoughts and words, no need to discuss day by day,

For our deeds and responses, will always obey.

Precious bonds in our hearts, will never be broken,

For time and distance are merely token.
