“In der Lunca” (On the Meadow. Romanian Idyll), a love story of two orphans in the Romanian countryside by Queen Elisabeth (Carmen Sylva), published in Germany in 1904. The volume has a dedication to the musician George Enescu and contains two illustrations of paintings by Nicolae Grigorescu (on the frontispiece is the picture of a young Romanian shepherd, “Ciobănaşul”, signed and dated: 1900).
