The Lost Puppy
It was a sunny morning. The birds were singing, and the park was full of children. Tom, a boy of ten, loved walking in the park. He often went there with his friends or with his little sister, Anna. But today, Tom was alone. He wanted to enjoy the fresh air and the quiet paths.
As Tom walked near the big oak tree, he saw something moving in the grass. At first, he thought it was a bird or a squirrel. But when he looked carefully, he saw a small brown puppy. The puppy had big eyes and a tiny tail. It looked scared. Its fur was dirty, and it looked hungry.
Tom felt sorry for the puppy. He slowly walked closer and said, “Hello, little puppy. Are you lost?” The puppy did not run away. Instead, it looked at Tom with its small, sad eyes. Tom smiled. “Don’t worry. I will help you,” he said.
Tom wanted to take the puppy home, but he knew he needed to be careful. “Do you have a collar?” he asked. The puppy shook its head. There was no name tag, no number, nothing. It was a lost puppy.
Tom picked up the little puppy carefully. It was light and warm. “I will call you Brownie,” said Tom. The puppy wagged its tail as if it liked the new name. Tom laughed. “Okay, Brownie, let’s go home and find some food for you.”
On the way home, Tom met his friend, Sara. “Hi, Tom! Who is this?” Sara asked, pointing at the small puppy. “I found him in the park,” said Tom. “He is lost. I will take care of him until we find his owner.”
Sara was excited. “Can I help you?” she asked. “Yes, of course,” said Tom. They walked together. Tom carried the puppy in his arms. Brownie looked around curiously. Every sound made him jump, but he trusted Tom.
At home, Tom filled a small bowl with water and some bread. Brownie drank the water quickly and then ate the bread. He seemed very hungry. Tom watched him carefully. “You are safe now,” he said. Brownie barked softly, like he wanted to say “thank you.”
Tom’s mother came into the room. “Tom, what is that?” she asked. Tom explained everything. His mother smiled. “You did the right thing, Tom. We will take care of him. But we must try to find his owner.”
Tom agreed. He took a piece of paper and wrote a notice:
“Found: Small brown puppy near the park. If this is your dog, please call Tom at 555-1234.”
Tom put the notice on the wall near the park. Every day, after school, he went to the park to check if someone had called. Brownie became Tom’s friend. He followed Tom everywhere. Brownie liked playing with Tom’s little sister, Anna. They laughed together when Brownie chased a ball in the garden.
One afternoon, a little girl came to Tom’s house. She looked worried. “Excuse me, is this your puppy?” she asked, pointing at Brownie. Tom smiled. “Yes, he is Brownie. Are you his owner?”
The girl nodded. “Yes! I was so worried. I lost him two days ago in the park.” Her name was Lily. She hugged Brownie tightly. Brownie barked happily. He jumped and licked her face. Tom felt happy and a little sad at the same time. He liked Brownie, but he knew the puppy belonged to Lily.
Lily’s mother thanked Tom and his family. “You are very kind. Thank you for taking care of Brownie,” she said. Tom smiled. “It was my pleasure. I just wanted to help.”
Before leaving, Lily said, “Can we visit Brownie sometimes?” Tom nodded. “Of course! You can come anytime.”
After they left, Tom felt proud. He had helped a lost puppy and returned him to his owner. He learned that helping others, even small animals, could make people happy. Brownie had made two new friends that week—Tom and Lily—and everyone was smiling.
That night, Tom went to bed thinking about Brownie. He hoped that the little puppy would always be safe and happy. He also thought about how he could help other animals in the park in the future. Tom dreamed about new adventures with Brownie and Lily, running, playing, and exploring the park together.
The next morning, Tom woke up early. He remembered the little puppy and smiled. Helping someone in need felt really good. Tom knew that even small actions could make a big difference.
From that day, Tom often walked in the park with Anna, looking for lost animals, and sometimes he saw Brownie playing with Lily. It was a sunny park, full of laughter, friends, and little adventures. And Tom always remembered the day he found the lost puppy.

My Best Friend
Tom was a boy of ten. He lived in a small town near a river. He had many friends at school, but there was one friend who was very special. His best friend’s name was Jack.
Tom and Jack had met when they were six years old. They were in the same kindergarten. At first, they were shy. But one day, they played together in the sandbox. They built a big castle with sand and laughed a lot. From that day, they became best friends.
Tom liked Jack because he was kind and funny. Jack liked Tom because he was brave and clever. They shared many things together: toys, stories, and secrets. Every day after school, they met near the big tree in Tom’s garden. There, they played football, ran races, and sometimes just talked.
One sunny Saturday, Tom and Jack decided to go to the river. They wanted to catch small fish. Tom took his fishing rod, and Jack brought a small net. They walked together, talking about their favorite games and cartoons. “I think this weekend will be very exciting,” said Jack. Tom smiled. “Yes, I hope we catch a lot of fish.”
When they arrived at the river, the water was clear and calm. They found a quiet place near the rocks. Tom put his fishing rod into the water. Jack looked into the river with his net. They were both very careful. After a few minutes, Jack caught a small fish! “Look, Tom! I caught one!” he shouted. Tom clapped his hands. “Well done, Jack! You are a good fisherman!”
They spent the whole afternoon near the river. They laughed, talked, and played. Sometimes, Jack slipped on the rocks, and Tom helped him. Sometimes, Tom dropped his hat into the water, and Jack jumped in to get it. They were always helping each other.
After a while, the sun began to go down. The sky was orange and pink. Tom said, “It’s time to go home.” Jack agreed, and they packed their things. On the way home, they talked about school. Jack said, “I am happy we are best friends. I don’t have many friends, but you are always here for me.” Tom smiled. “Me too, Jack. You are my best friend forever.”
The next week at school, there was a problem. A new boy, Peter, was very lonely. He had just moved to their town and did not know anyone. Tom and Jack saw him sitting alone during lunch. Tom whispered to Jack, “We should invite him to play with us.” Jack nodded. “Yes, let’s do it.”
During the break, Tom and Jack went to Peter. “Hi, Peter! Do you want to play football with us?” asked Tom. Peter looked surprised and happy. “Yes, I would like that,” he said. From that day, Peter joined their group. Tom and Jack were happy because they shared their friendship with someone who needed it.
Tom learned that being a best friend is not only about having fun. It is also about caring, helping, and sharing. Jack felt the same. They always supported each other, and now they could support Peter too.
One afternoon, Tom and Jack decided to make a secret club. They found a small wooden treehouse in Jack’s garden. It was perfect. They called it “The Friendship Club.” Only friends could enter. They put a small sign on the door: “Best Friends Forever.” Inside, they had small chairs, a table, and many books. Sometimes, they played board games. Sometimes, they just talked.
Tom remembered the first day he met Jack. “I am glad we met,” he said. Jack nodded. “Yes, me too. You are my best friend, and nothing can change that.” Tom smiled. “Even if we grow older, we will always be friends.”
Weeks passed. Summer came, and the boys went to the park every day. Sometimes they played football, sometimes they rode bicycles. They laughed so much that their faces hurt. They helped each other climb trees and sometimes helped old people in the park. Their friendship was not only fun; it was full of kindness and care.
One day, Tom fell from his bicycle and hurt his knee. He cried, and Jack immediately ran to him. He cleaned the wound and gave Tom a bandage. “Don’t worry, Tom. It will be better soon,” said Jack. Tom smiled through his pain. “Thank you, Jack. You are really my best friend.”
At the end of the summer, they had a small party in the garden. They invited Peter and a few other friends. They ate sandwiches, played games, and told stories. Tom looked at Jack and whispered, “I am happy. We have so many friends now, and we are still best friends.” Jack nodded. “Yes, friendship is the best thing in the world.”
That night, Tom went to bed thinking about his best friend. He realized that a best friend is not only someone who plays with you. A best friend is someone who is always there, who helps you, listens to you, and shares both happy and sad moments. Tom smiled and dreamed about more adventures with Jack, Peter, and all their friends.
Tom knew one thing for sure: friendship is a treasure, and he had the best treasure in the world – his best friend, Jack.

A Rainy Day
It was a gray morning. Dark clouds covered the sky, and the wind was cold. Tom looked out of his window. Rain was falling quietly at first, then faster. He sighed. He had planned to play football with his friends, but now everything was wet and slippery.
Tom put on his yellow raincoat and his green boots. “I cannot play outside today,” he said. “Maybe I can do something fun inside.” He picked up his small backpack and went to the kitchen. His mother was making tea.
“Good morning, Tom,” she said. “It is raining a lot today. What are you going to do?”
“I don’t know, Mom,” said Tom. “I wanted to play with my friends, but it is raining.”
“You can read a book, draw a picture, or play a game,” his mother suggested. Tom smiled. “Yes, I will draw today,” he said.
Tom went to his room and opened his desk. He had many colors: red, blue, yellow, and green. He decided to draw a picture of the park he liked so much. He drew the big tree, the river, and the ducks. Then he added himself and his friends playing football. When he finished, he looked at his work. “It is not perfect, but I like it,” he said.
Suddenly, he heard a knock at the door. It was his best friend, Jack. “Hi, Tom! Can I come in?” asked Jack. Tom opened the door. Jack’s hair was wet, and his coat was full of water. “It is raining so much,” said Jack. “I wanted to play football, but I cannot. Can we do something inside?”
“Of course,” said Tom. “I am drawing a picture. You can help me.” Jack smiled and took a chair. Together, they drew a big picture. They added houses, cars, flowers, and even a small dog. They laughed when they made mistakes. Sometimes Jack used too much blue, and sometimes Tom used too much red. But they did not care. They were having fun.
After drawing, Tom had an idea. “Let’s make a little story with our picture,” he said. Jack was excited. “Yes! We can make our own book!” They wrote small sentences under each part of the picture. Tom wrote, “Tom and Jack go to the park. It is a rainy day. They play with ducks.” Jack wrote, “They wear raincoats and boots. They have a lot of fun.”
The rain continued outside, but inside the room, everything was warm and happy. They drank hot chocolate and talked about their plans for summer. “I hope the rain stops tomorrow,” said Jack. “Then we can play football again.” Tom nodded. “Yes, but today is a good day too,” he said.
Suddenly, Tom’s little sister, Anna, came into the room. “Can I join you?” she asked. Tom smiled. “Of course! We can make our story bigger.” Anna added a rainbow in the picture and a small cat near the tree. “Look! Now it is beautiful,” she said.
They continued drawing and writing for an hour. They made their story colorful and funny. Sometimes, they looked out of the window. The rain was heavy, and the trees moved in the wind. But they did not feel bored. They were busy, creative, and happy together.
After finishing, Tom said, “I like rainy days now. Before, I was sad, but today was fun.” Jack nodded. “Yes! We can always find something to do, even when it rains.” Anna agreed. “I want to do this every rainy day,” she said.
When the evening came, the rain stopped. The sky was gray but quiet. Tom, Jack, and Anna went to the window and looked outside. Puddles were on the ground, and the garden was full of drops of water. Birds were singing again, and the flowers looked fresh. “Rain is not bad,” said Tom. “It makes everything clean and beautiful.”
That night, Tom went to bed thinking about the rainy day. He realized that even a gray and wet day can be exciting. Drawing, writing, and spending time with friends and family can make any day fun. He smiled and dreamed about the next rainy day. He hoped it would come soon, so he could draw, write, and laugh again.
Tom learned an important lesson: every day is special, even a rainy day. Sometimes, a little rain can bring big happiness.

The Magic Tree
Tom and Jack loved walking in the forest near their town. One Saturday morning, they decided to explore a new path. The sun was shining, and the birds were singing. Tom said, “Today we can find something new, maybe an adventure!” Jack smiled. “Yes! Let’s go!”
As they walked deeper into the forest, they saw many trees. Some were tall, and some were small. Suddenly, Tom stopped. “Look, Jack! That tree is different,” he said. It was a very old tree. Its trunk was wide, and its leaves were golden, even though it was not autumn. “It looks magical,” said Jack.
Tom walked closer. He touched the tree. The leaves were soft, and the bark was warm. Suddenly, a small door appeared in the trunk. “Wow! Did you see that?” asked Tom. Jack nodded. “It is a real door! Maybe it is a magic tree,” he said.
They opened the door carefully. Inside, they saw a small room. There were tiny chairs, little tables, and a glowing light. “This is amazing,” said Tom. “It looks like a tiny house for fairies!” Jack looked around and saw a small book on the table. He opened it. “It is a storybook,” he said. “But the words are moving!”
Tom read the words slowly. “The Magic Tree brings happiness to children who are kind and brave,” he said. Jack smiled. “We are brave and kind. Maybe the tree is happy to see us.” Suddenly, the room glowed brighter. Tiny lights flew around them. It was like small stars dancing in the air.
They spent the whole morning exploring the magic tree. They found small treasures: tiny stones that shined, colorful feathers, and a little bell that made a soft sound. They laughed and played. Every time they touched something, it felt warm and happy. Tom said, “This is the best adventure ever.”
Then, they heard a soft voice. “Thank you for visiting me,” said the voice. Tom and Jack looked around. They did not see anyone. “Who is there?” asked Jack. The voice replied, “I am the spirit of the tree. You are kind and brave, so I show you my magic.”
Tom and Jack were amazed. “Can we come again?” asked Tom. “Yes,” said the voice. “But remember, only children with kind hearts can enter. Be kind to animals, friends, and family, and the magic will always find you.”
Before leaving, they took a small leaf from the tree. The leaf was golden and soft. “It will remind us of the magic tree,” said Jack. Tom put the leaf in his pocket. “Yes, and we can tell our friends about this place,” he said.
On the way home, they talked about what they saw. “I can’t wait to come back,” said Tom. Jack agreed. “Yes! And we must be kind every day. Then we can see the magic again.” They laughed and ran through the forest, happy and excited.
The next week, Tom and Jack visited the magic tree again. This time, they brought Anna, Tom’s little sister. They wanted to show her the magic. Anna was amazed. She touched the tree, and the small door appeared again. Inside, the room looked bigger and brighter than before. Tiny lights danced around them, and the little treasures shined.
Anna laughed. “It is wonderful! I see the magic!” The boys smiled. They played together, exploring the tree. They put small stones in their pockets as souvenirs and rang the little bell. The sound was soft and happy.
After a while, the spirit of the tree spoke again. “You are always kind and brave. The magic tree will be here for you. Remember to be kind every day, and your hearts will always be happy.” Tom, Jack, and Anna promised to be kind. They hugged each other and left the tree, feeling warm and happy inside.
Weeks passed. Tom, Jack, and Anna often visited the forest. They told their friends about the magic tree. Everyone wanted to be kind and brave. The magic tree stayed in the same place, its golden leaves shining in the sunlight. It brought happiness to children who loved adventure and friendship.
One day, after a long walk, Tom looked at the golden leaf in his pocket. He remembered the first time he saw the tree. “We are lucky,” he said. Jack nodded. “Yes, we found the magic tree, and it teaches us an important lesson: kindness and bravery bring magic to our lives.”
Anna smiled. “I will always remember this day,” she said. “Me too,” said Tom. “And me,” said Jack. They walked home together, talking, laughing, and thinking about new adventures.
That night, Tom went to bed and dreamed about the magic tree. He imagined golden leaves, tiny lights, and happy laughter. He knew the tree was real, and its magic would always be with him.
The magic tree was more than a tree. It was a place of happiness, friendship, and adventure. Tom, Jack, and Anna learned that the real magic is not only in the tree but also in being kind, brave, and loving every day.

A Trip to the Zoo
One sunny Saturday, Tom and his best friend Jack decided to visit the zoo. They had never been there together, and they were very excited. Tom’s little sister, Anna, wanted to come too. Their mother packed sandwiches, water, and a small bag with snacks.
“We are ready!” said Tom. “Let’s go and see the animals!” Jack smiled. “I can’t wait to see the lions and elephants.” Anna clapped her hands. “I want to see the monkeys and the parrots!”
When they arrived at the zoo, the gates were big and colorful. People were walking in groups. Some families were taking pictures, and some children were running to see their favorite animals. Tom, Jack, and Anna bought tickets and entered the zoo.
The first animals they saw were the lions. The lions were resting under a tree. A lioness yawned, showing her big teeth. “Wow!” said Tom. “They are amazing.” Jack nodded. “They are strong and beautiful.” Anna said, “I like the baby lions. They are so cute!”
Next, they went to the elephant area. The elephants were huge. One elephant used its trunk to pick up some grass and eat it. Tom and Jack laughed. “It is funny how it uses its trunk,” said Jack. Anna touched the small fence. “I wish I could feed them,” she said.
After that, they went to see the monkeys. The monkeys were very active. They jumped from tree to tree, played with each other, and sometimes made funny faces. Tom laughed loudly. “Look at that monkey! It is so funny!” Jack said, “Yes, they are always moving.” Anna wanted to take a picture. “Smile, monkeys!” she said.
Then, they visited the bird area. There were colorful parrots, small canaries, and big peacocks. The parrots said, “Hello! Hello!” Tom was surprised. “They can talk!” Jack laughed. “Yes, they are very clever birds.” Anna waved at the birds. “I love their colors,” she said.
After walking for a while, they stopped under a big tree to eat their sandwiches. “This is a good place to rest,” said Tom. They shared sandwiches, apples, and cookies. Birds came near them, looking for crumbs. “Be careful, Anna!” said Jack. “The birds want some food too.”
