Preface
Shiva and Shakti – the union of the masculine and the feminine – are akin to Yin and Yang, Purusha and Prakriti.
Shakti is power, nature, the changeable, the maternal; she personifies the feminine.
Shiva is pure consciousness, the constant, the free; he personifies the masculine.
A person needs both principles to remain in balance.
Hello!
If you’ve ever had to dodge pickup-course graduates on the street, swipe right and left on dating apps without any results, go on unsuccessful dates with men who later turn out to be followers of misogynistic podcasts, wait for a ring in a relationship that’s been going on for years, rarely leave the house and therefore find it difficult to meet anyone – or if you’ve simply realized that everything that has happened in your personal life so far is not at all what you truly wanted – stop! The time for change has come.
If mysticism and esotericism arouse your curiosity, it’s quite possible that this book will open before you the opportunity to embark on a journey of transformation – both on a personal level and in the realm of relationships – bringing you a little closer to the fulfillment of your cherished desire, or at least helping you move away from destructive connections.
I want to share with you certain esoteric and Vedic areas of knowledge that I have been studying for several years, as well as cases from my personal experience, in the hope that they may be of benefit to you.
Warning!
After reading this book, you risk beginning to lose men who merely waste your time.
Nimitta Shastra and Relationships

You know that feeling – the moment after you’ve gotten ready for a date: you’ve put on something pretty, done your makeup, styled your hair, sprayed on some perfume… And suddenly, there’s that strange sensation in your stomach – something unpleasant, though you don’t understand why, since nothing seems to have happened… (yet). And you tell yourself: “Alright, I hope I’m not going for nothing.”
That feeling is your intuition speaking: “Hey! Where do you think you’re going, madam? He’s not for you!”
The next day, out of nowhere, when there are never any flies in your home, you sit down to eat, your thoughts wandering – and suddenly, tiny flies fall onto your plate. You’re sure it means nothing and that it’s probably just a coincidence – but no, this is a nimitta (a sign from the Universe).
Perhaps afterward, you went on a few more dates with the same man, but nothing came of it. Something he did or said made you realize that you needed to distance yourself from him immediately, block him everywhere possible, and regret ever giving him a chance.
Nimitta Shastra is a particularly mystical branch of the Vedas. In the ancient Indian scriptures, much has been written about various means of predicting the future and understanding complex situations. One of these methods is receiving signs from the Universe (nimitta shastra), which hint at what is to come – for better or for worse.
Try to recall all the times when something happened right at the moment of meeting someone.
If after a date – or after touching him, or after spending the night at his place – you felt unwell (nausea, a sickly feeling, headache, stomach pain), or noticed a sudden worsening in your appearance – acne, unruly hair or eyebrows, a cut, severe hair loss, a rash, and so on – without any apparent reason, and then, once home and away from him, suddenly felt fine again – this may be an “allergic” reaction to an energetic vampire.
In any case, it’s a very bad sign concerning the man. It indicates malicious intentions on his part.
You might deceive your mind – but the body cannot be fooled.
If you’ve tried to arrange a date several times, and each time something serious happened that forced you to cancel – for example, an accident or his house suddenly burned down (yes, literally) – you should think carefully about whether you should meet at all. Maybe that encounter would truly turn out to be “explosive”…
Or perhaps once you were rushing to submit an assignment at college, entered the station, but for some reason the turnstile wouldn’t work – that’s a sign your work wasn’t yet ready to be submitted, and it’s no surprise if you ended up receiving a low grade.
Or maybe you were on your way to an important meeting. You always arrive early, but on that particular day, even though you’d calculated everything as usual and should have arrived ahead of time, something happened on the way, and you realized you’d be a few minutes late. This is a negative nimitta, connected to the place you’re going or the people you’re about to meet. Something there is “unclean,” and it’s a serious warning.
Today, in the modern world, we have the time to go on dates and get to know a partner before deciding whether to enter a relationship or start a family. Within several weeks or months, we have enough time to receive a sufficient number of nimittas concerning a man and our potential relationship. The important thing is not to close your eyes to certain situations and not to ignore the obvious signs sent by the Universe.
On the other hand, not everything is a nimitta. Therefore, one shouldn’t try to interpret every small thing one sees or experiences as something connected to one’s situation – it might have nothing to do with it at all.
The timing of when the sign appears is crucial for understanding whether it’s truly a sign or merely a coincidence. A nimitta may come at the very moment you ask a question, speak about something, do something, or think about something – and then it appears as a direct answer to that specific thought or action (like a question and an answer).
It’s important to pay attention if a nimitta repeats itself. Sometimes it manifests in the same form, and sometimes the Universe sends a different kind of nimitta. This usually happens when we ignore or fail to notice the first sign.
Categories of Nimittas
Sound (Shabda Nimitta) – for example: someone in the room asks a question, and suddenly, before anyone can answer, there’s a terrible noise from outside. The answer to the question is most likely “no” or “it’s not worth it.” Such signs carry special weight if they appear immediately after an inner question or thought.
Vision (Darshana Nimitta) – people or symbols that appear unexpectedly; observing animals behaving in an unusual way; or images seen in dreams.
Smell (Gandha Nimitta) – a pleasant or unpleasant scent that arises suddenly is considered a very subtle (sattvic) sign, more common among sensitive individuals, and therefore relatively rare.
For example: you look at a photo of a person and suddenly sense a disgusting smell, even though you’re in a clean environment – that’s a bad sign concerning the person in the picture.
Taste (Rasa Nimitta) – an unexpected taste in food or drink can indicate a positive or negative tendency at that moment.
Physical Sensation (Sprasha Nimitta) – sudden trembling, tingling, heat, or cold in the body. This is considered a sign of the influence of subtle or karmic forces. In places with ghostly activity, a sudden chill may indicate paranormal presence.
External Events (Drishta / Aharana Nimitta) – an unexpected natural occurrence (for example, a sudden or strange change in weather: lightning, a strong gust of wind, unexpected rain), a falling object, an accident, or the sudden appearance of a person.
Dreams (Swapna Nimitta) – dreams are regarded as a separate form of nimitta. Depending on the time of night and the dream’s content, one can determine whether it is a message or merely a mental process of the subconscious.
Inner Nimitta (Antar Nimitta) – sudden intuition, a thought that arises without reason. It is considered the highest form of nimitta – as if the soul itself whispers a message.
Common Signs and Their Interpretation According to Nimitta ShastraFruits and flowers – good signs.
Falling leaves or branches without visible cause – loss.
A pleasant smell of food – an excellent sign.
A burning candle, flame, or lit lamp – good signs.
A box of matches spilling open foretells luck in love for single people.
Milk boiling over, burning, or spilling from a pot – a bad omen. Yet in general, the appearance of dairy products is a good sign.
Dropping something on the floor or accidentally spilling salt – negative signs.
Broken glass – the glass has absorbed the evil eye.
A broken mirror – a well-known bad omen.
Finding objects on the street such as jewelry, money, keys, a horseshoe, a beautiful feather, or unusual stones – according to Nimitta Shastra, these may be positive signs. However, one must never pick them up or, worse, wear them. There are known cases where people deliberately threw away bewitched objects to transfer their illnesses or misfortunes to whoever would take or touch them. In extreme cases, the object may be possessed by a spirit or demon.
Meeting a joyful pregnant woman or a woman with a small child – a wonderful sign foretelling abundance and blessings.
Seeing someone holding food or drink – a good sign.
Events that get canceled, or lost tickets – a sign that you have avoided something undesirable, or an indication to stay away from that event.
Nimittas Related to Sounds
A doorbell or phone ringing at the very moment you think of something – a positive sign, as if confirming your thought. Similarly, pleasant sounds of musical instruments of various kinds are considered very good signs. Hearing off-key or discordant playing is a less favorable one.
Thinking of something and suddenly overhearing others’ conversation or an echo – sometimes conversations we hear clearly, even though they don’t concern us, while we’re pondering something, can turn out to be the very answer we seek.
Children’s laughter – a harbinger of joy.
Unpleasant animal sounds or their cries – bad signs, especially if they occur frequently. Hearing a dog that cries or barks hysterically again and again foretells the presence of an enemy disguised as a friend or a partner with malicious, selfish intentions.
Silence after a loud noise – a symbol of possible upcoming changes; it’s a cue to pause before making a decision.
The sound of fire – signifies activity; one should remain calm.
The sound of water – if it seems that water is “bursting out” of a faucet, it’s a bad sign for financial or emotional matters. If the water flows smoothly – it’s a good sign.
A terrible or irritating noise – a distinctly ill omen.
The Voice of a Man
If you’re talking to a man, or he sends you a voice message and you’re still unsure whether you want to go on a date with him, listen carefully to his voice and pay attention to the inner feeling it evokes – positive or negative. If needed, wait a bit. Sometimes, when the perception is negative, the voice may sound unpleasant to you, or there may be a tightening sensation in the body (most often in the abdominal area), or a faint feeling that something is wrong.
If he is truly your man, you’ll feel an expansion in the heart. Usually, this sensation arises automatically, without your intention – if your intuition is developed.

Nimittas Related to Animals
There are many nimittas connected with animals. A distinctive feature of this topic is that a person often perceives more nimittas related to their totem animal or spirit guide animal than to others.
For example, if someone’s guiding animal is a dog, many nimittas or mystical situations involving dogs will occur throughout that person’s life.
Examples of Signs:
Cow – a good sign, foretelling prosperity and blessing.
Thinking about a relationship and suddenly seeing a cat and a dog together – a bad omen, indicating quarrels and incompatibility.
A dog barking for no reason – according to Nimitta Shastra, may indicate illness that will affect someone in the family. Most often, it is a warning about a negative situation or an encounter with an enemy.
Seeing a black cat crossing the road from right to left – a very well-known bad omen. The cat is a mystical animal associated with the Moon, and the left side is also under the Moon’s influence, while the right side is ruled by the Sun. Many people report experiencing real misfortunes after such an encounter with a cat on the street.
Similarly, a situation in which a cat walks in the same direction from which a person has just come (and the person is about to walk back that way) is also considered an unfavorable sign.
In general, dogs, cats, and rabbits are regarded as inauspicious signs according to the Vedas – so much so that it is not recommended to keep them at home. In various religions, it is advised to perform frequent energetic cleansing of the home if such animals live there, as they attract heavy, earthly negative energies into the space.
In contrast, fish, cows, and elephants are considered auspicious signs in the Vedic tradition. Fish are associated with Jupiter and spirituality (Jupiter is also the ruler of Pisces), and feeding them is considered a meritorious act. The cow is sacred in the eyes of Indians, as is the bull Nandi. The elephant is linked with Lord Ganesha.
A dog following a person – an unfavorable sign, suggesting that one should be cautious about the people they allow into their circle. Can they be trusted? Are they true friends?
A bird building a nest within your property – a very positive sign, foretelling good fortune (unless the bird has a negative connotation, such as an owl).
A peacock – heralds joyful events.
A swan – a highly auspicious sign.
A stork – a benevolent omen.
A crow – associated with the planet Saturn and negative karma. Seeing a crow can be either a good or a very bad sign, depending on its behavior.
Positive Crow Signs:
A crow dropping something good near you or holding something useful in its beak (if it holds something unpleasant or old – that’s a bad sign).
A crow flying from right to left (left to right – unfavorable).
Two crows sharing food – a sign of peace and harmony in relationships.
A crow near a beautiful, healthy plant – a good omen.
A crow sitting calmly on a car roof – also a positive sign.
Negative Crow Signs:
A crow cawing and spreading its wings, or a crow (or a flock of crows) attacking a person, flying too close, touching, or flying directly overhead.
A crow throwing something at a person – may symbolize loss.
A crow circling a house three times, or tapping on a window – a warning of danger or serious trouble (depending on the direction of the window according to Vastu).
If a crow makes noise in the morning near the left side of the house – a very bad omen.
Seeing a crow in a cemetery – a hint of something coming to an end.
A crow flying in a clockwise circle – symbolizes family conflicts; counterclockwise – conflicts with enemies or acquaintances.
A crow preening itself or standing on one leg – also extremely negative signs.
Seagull – associated with Rahu (the karmic lunar node). The interpretation depends on its behavior – whether calm or aggressive.
Pigeon – generally a negative sign, as the pigeon is associated with the god Yama (the lord of death). If the pigeon has any defect, it is an especially bad omen.
Owl – a mystical symbol connected with Ketu. It can be a positive sign in financial matters, but in other aspects, it is highly unfavorable.
A lizard entering the house – a very bad sign, foretelling various negative situations.
Snakes, spiders, butterflies, and bees – can be positive signs, as long as they do not attack the person who sees them.
Mice and rats – bad omens, foretelling negative changes in financial or health matters, or bringing destruction.
Seeing an animal looking for a hiding place – an unfavorable sign.
A dead animal – may be a negative omen. If the carcass is found on your property, it is necessary to cleanse and energetically purify the area immediately.

Nimittas in the Home
A spruce tree in the yard – a nimitta with an ominous reputation. According to Nimitta Shastra, once such a tree grows taller than the roof of the house, the owner may die. Therefore, it is better not to plant such trees within the household grounds.
A broken lock – a broken door lock, especially on the front door, indicates a very poor state of security, both emotional and physical – and not merely because anyone could enter the house.
If you visit someone’s home and notice broken locks or doors, this is a sign that may point to direct or verbal abuse.
If, however, a pet in the home was responsible for the broken lock, this speaks of an extremely serious spiritual problem.
A person who invites you into a home with a broken door lock foretells an intention to violate your personal boundaries.
Of course, if the door is simply thirty years old or more, this is probably not a sign – merely an indication that it’s time to replace it.
A lost key is considered a bad omen.
A clock or any other electronic device that suddenly stops or breaks at the moment of reflection or planning something – a bad sign.
A flickering lamp in a certain area of the house – if you constantly have to replace the lightbulb in the same fixture, it may be due to a technical issue or faulty wiring, but it may also be a nimitta hinting at impure energy in that space. If the wiring and lamp are in perfect order yet the flickering continues – it is most likely a negative nimitta.
Clothing that tears unexpectedly, or food that spoils for no apparent reason (not due to expiration or a broken refrigerator) – these are negative signs that may foretell upcoming problems.
Household nimittas indicating the possible presence of an entity or ghost:
A cat that stares intensely into empty space and becomes restless; objects that move or make sounds by themselves; lights turning on or off without cause; items breaking; water leaks or drips; furniture or doors creaking without reason.
To conclude that an entity is present, several such signs must occur simultaneously.
Physical SensationsAccording to Nimitta Shastra, strange bodily sensations in a healthy man on the right side of the body symbolize “yes,” while those on the left side symbolize “no.”
For women, it is the opposite: the left side is a positive sign, and the right side is negative.
For example: If a woman’s right eye twitches or itches – it’s a sign of something bad that may happen (for the left eye, the interpretation is reversed – it’s positive). For men, the meanings are opposite.
A strange feeling in the nose may indicate receiving good news or monetary gain.
Sneezing twice before leaving the house – a good sign; sneezing once immediately before starting something new – an extremely bad sign.
A tingling in the right cheek – a good sign; in the left cheek – a bad one.
Ringing in the right ear – a sign of good fortune. Ringing in the left ear – a bad omen warning of problems. For women, it is reversed: ringing in the right ear – a bad sign that may come true within a few hours, even if the context is unclear; ringing in the left ear – a good sign.
Tripping at the moment when thinking about something – a bad omen concerning the subject of your thought.
Stumbling or falling on stairs – also considered a negative sign.
Tingling sensations in the body – most often a negative omen.
Situations on Dates in the Modern WorldIf on a date the food tastes bad or is spoiled, or if there is dirt – this is a bad sign regarding the man you met.
If during the date something falls from your hands onto the floor and points toward the exit, it’s likely a sign that you should run.
Once, when I met a man for a first date at a restaurant, I was holding my phone for just a moment – and suddenly, it slipped and flew far away toward the door.
A few days later, it turned out we had deep and irreconcilable differences in our values and intentions regarding relationships. Fortunately, that became clear very quickly. It turned out that sometimes our spiritual protection tries to safeguard us through invisible physical intervention.
If during a date a waiter accidentally hits you on the head with a tray, that’s a sign to “wake up.”
Even if you’re trying to see the man in a positive light without knowing him deeply yet, the Universe will try to awaken you and give you a “slap” in one form or another – because soon it will become evident that the man in front of you is not for you.
If you sit somewhere and there’s cigarette ash nearby – it’s a bad sign.
Electronic devices suddenly breaking down – a very bad omen! If a guest visits your home and something suddenly breaks or stops working – it’s a sign that something is wrong with that person.
Jewelry that breaks or falls near a certain person is also a bad sign concerning them. Most likely, that person carries very strong negative energy (possibly an energetic vampire or someone with a personality disorder), and the jewelry absorbs this energy to protect you – which causes it to break or fall.
Nimittas Associated with Planets According to the VedasAccording to the Vedas, planets manifest themselves through numerous symbols we encounter in everyday life. Many nimittas are directly linked to planets, as each corresponds to certain numbers (Vedic numerology), colors, days of the week, flavors of food and drink that you consume, and even sounds you hear – whether music, noises, or tones of speech.

At the moment when you think about something in the context of a relationship (or any other situation) and suddenly sense a taste you did not expect – it may be a sign, depending on the flavor you felt:
Bitter Taste (Sun)
A bad sign. Bitterness points to dryness, criticism, and excessive ego.
In relationships, it may indicate rigidity or a judgmental attitude.
It is better to slow down, soften your communication, and avoid making sharp decisions on that day.
Salty Taste (Moon)
It can be a positive sign, but not necessarily.
Saltiness is connected to closeness, emotions, and comfort.
In relationships, it encourages intimacy, warmth, and mutual care – the key is not to fall into dependency or fear of letting go if you see that the other person is not equally willing to invest in the relationship.
