In Indian mythology, it is said that Shiva created the 11 Rudras (various emanations of himself) while attempting to help in the creation of humankind. However, since he could not create mortal beings, the Rudras remained immortal, like the other gods.
From that time, Rudra has been associated with the number 11 – symbolizing dissolution, purification, and the removal of fear or illusion. Therefore, repeating a mantra 11 times in the name of Lord Shiva can help cleanse and dispel the effects of bad dreams.
21 repetitions is considered a sattvic (blessed) number – a smaller cycle that activates the energy of the mantra without creating heaviness.
If someone experiences a series of disturbing dreams or wishes to regularly protect their sleep, they may repeat the mantra 108 times. Daily repetition of mantras helps one to better understand divine guidance and messages.
If a dream leaves a very strong emotional impression, it is recommended to light a candle or incense, recite a mantra, and ask for the dream’s influence to be nullified.
The very act of uttering the mantra aloud changes the energy and cuts through the dream’s impact due to the vibration it creates in the space and in the body.
It clears the residual echo of the dream and introduces a new, harmonious resonance.
This is especially effective if the mantra is pronounced immediately upon waking, when the consciousness is still half in the dream world and half awake – for example, if someone wakes suddenly from a nightmare and recites the mantra right away.
It is important to note: when you dream that someone harms you, it likely means that this has already happened behind your back or is being planned – and you may soon discover it.
Mantras can help you withstand the emotional impact more peacefully, but they cannot always prevent the manifestation of such a dream in reality.

Keeping a Dream Journal
In the Vedas, it is believed that dreams are one of the channels through which Higher Consciousness, and at times even devas (celestial beings), communicate with human beings. A journal allows one to preserve these messages. Keeping a dream journal can help strengthen dream recall (for those who tend not to remember their dreams), release emotionally heavy or unpleasant dreams stored in memory, and aid in working with the subconscious.
The journal helps recognize hidden fears, repressed desires, and intuitive insights. It also helps to track signs (nimittas): a single dream can be confusing, but when a sequence of dreams is recorded, one can notice repeating patterns – symbols, colors, places, or recurring characters that carry a message.
Recording dreams allows one to see how they connect to daily events, relationships, health, or major decisions.
It is recommended to record a dream the same day so as not to forget the details, and to note the date. It is important to include whether there were any special symbols or close people present, and also when you woke from the dream. Later, you can record what happened afterward – to check whether the dream was fulfilled, and if so, how much time passed between the dream and its manifestation.
Not every dream comes true within a week; sometimes it may take a month or even several years.
The 12th House in the Natal Chart and DreamsThe 12th house in the natal chart is connected not only with past lives, solitude, and death, but also with dreams and intuition.Additionally, the 12th house is one of the moksha houses. If the 12th house is well placed in the personal chart, the native will have developed intuition, the ability to receive information from collective wisdom, and a strong sense of empathy. Such individuals may have a healing gift or work as counselors, therapists, or spiritual mentors.
It should be remembered, however, that the 12th house also brings challenges and is considered a comparatively dark house.
To develop intuition and receive accurate messages from the Universe requires great patience – but it will be rewarded through higher spiritual awareness.
In relationships, when assessing compatibility between two partners, it is worth examining the 12th house in both charts.
A harmonious connection through this house may indicate the partners’ ability to feel and understand each other emotionally and intuitively, even without words – or to finish each other’s sentences – which directly points to a deep soul bond.
The Sign in the 12th House and the Nature of the Native’s Dreams12th House in Aries (ruled by Mars)
Dreams filled with action: conflicts, chases, battles, fire, blood, war, apocalypse.
Much movement, jumping, and a sense of danger.
Bizarre, surreal dreams beyond logic, set in strange locations.
Sometimes violent nightmares where the dreamer fights or is being pursued.
People with this placement may frequently experience nightmares in childhood.
12th House in Taurus (ruled by Venus)
Dreams about home, food, romance, money, shopping, wealth, and beauty.
Many sensual elements – smells, colors, and tastes.
Dreams may tend to repeat under this placement.
Sometimes dreams involve loss of property or connection.
12th House in Gemini (ruled by Mercury)
Dreams filled with conversation, writing, movement, books, or documents.
Often, dreams in which one receives information or a hidden message in verbal or written form – a note, letter, email, or phone message.
There may be few people in such dreams; if faces are indistinct, they can at least be heard clearly.
12th House in Cancer (ruled by the Moon)
Extremely emotional dreams involving family, children, mother, or the childhood home.
Many water symbols of varying intensity – pools, seas, or rivers.
Dreams are generally soft, sometimes troubling or strange, and often spiritual with messages.
12th House in Leo (ruled by the Sun)
Dramatic dreams – kings, leaders, celebrities, stage, fire, bright light, crowds, large buildings, foreign places.
The dreamer may appear at the center of attention or bearing a heavy burden.
There is a greater tendency toward melancholic dreams than nightmares, and many with this placement dream rarely or do not remember their dreams.
12th House in Virgo (ruled by Mercury)
Dreams of work, routine, order, or health.
May involve cleanliness, body care, or everyday tasks.
Flying, swimming, travel, large buildings, people with unusual appearances, or even aliens – futuristic dreams are possible.
Such people may experience intense, detailed, “technical” dreams, like movies, and often lucid or vivid dreams.
12th House in Libra (ruled by Venus)
Romantic dreams, interpersonal relations, balance, beauty, and aesthetics.
Dreams about pleasant companionship arising from a deep longing for warmth.
Sometimes dreams of ex-partners or unfinished relationships, or searching for a partner.
Nightmares are rare, but when they occur, they can be highly realistic.
12th House in Scorpio (ruled by Mars)
Intense, apocalyptic dreams full of mystery, death, and transformation.
Many snakes, caves, water of varying intensity, deep waters, high waves, darkness, nights, or places of entrapment.
Sometimes prophetic or mystical dreams.
Nightmares may occur if Uranus or Pluto are in Scorpio and connected to the 12th house or its ruler.
12th House in Sagittarius (ruled by Jupiter)
Dreams of travel, teachers, temples, ancient wisdom, adventure, and journeys.
May involve learning or receiving spiritual instruction.
Tendency toward clear, prophetic dreams, déjà vu, or simply strange dream experiences.
12th House in Capricorn (ruled by Saturn)
Cold, empty dreams with a feeling of heaviness or restriction.
Possible dreams of travel through abandoned places or buildings.
Dreams may be detailed and connected with hard work, duty, aging, or scarcity.
A person’s work may “follow” them into their dreams.
Symbolic dreams are also common.
12th House in Aquarius (ruled by Saturn and Rahu)
Unusual, futuristic, or bizarre dreams that make the dreamer reflect on the state of their subconscious.
Often accompanied by a sense of weight or intensity. Filled with crowds, technology, flight, stars, and space.
Sometimes a collective dream is shared by many souls.
Nightmares may involve large groups of people.
In short – these dreams are often more interesting than waking reality.
12th House in Pisces (ruled by Jupiter)
Deeply mystical dreams – visions, deities, endless waters, escapism, and random, symbolic imagery not always possible to interpret.
Strong tendency toward lucid, prophetic, and profound dreams – as though the person watches a film while sleeping.
Such individuals are connected to other worlds, though sometimes they dream merely because their mind never truly rests.

When the ruler of the 12th house is placed in another house, the nature of dreams can take on the characteristics of that house.
For example, if in a natal chart the 12th house is in the sign of Virgo, and its ruler Mercury is located in Scorpio, the native may have detailed, vivid dreams that tend to come true – and through them, they may even uncover the intentions of enemies attempting to cause harm. A 12th-house ruler in water signs enhances intuition and prophetic dreaming.
In general, the position of Mercury has a strong influence on dreams – its placement may also indicate the tone and nature of dream experiences. For example, Mercury in Scorpio can bring dreams set in nighttime scenes.
The Sun represents day, while the Moon represents night.
The nighttime itself is divided into three parts: Rahu, Saturn, and Ketu each rule a different portion of the night. Rahu governs the period from sunset to midnight, Saturn governs the midnight hours, and Ketu governs the hours before dawn.
Because of this, the planets that most strongly influence nightmares are Rahu, Ketu, Saturn, and the Moon.
Therefore, if these planets cast aspects upon the 12th house in the natal chart, they can cause disturbing dreams or nightmares. However, Ketu does not necessarily bring nightmares; it can also bestow spiritual or mystical dreams.
The sign of the Moon can likewise affect the nature of dreams.
For example, a Moon in Cancer may bring dreams about the childhood home – as well as everything described earlier in the context of dreams by zodiac signs.
Additionally, a planet located in the 12th house can also influence dream imagery: Venus in the 12th house may bring dreams of food or relationships. Chiron in the 12th may bring nightmares. Rahu in the 12th – dreams of astral entities. Mars in the 12th – dreams of physical violence. Saturn in the 12th – dreams of responsibility, stagnation, and heaviness. Sun in the 12th – indicates rare dream activity or difficulty remembering dreams, since the Sun governs the daytime.
A stellium (three or more planets) in the 12th house may point to various sleep disturbances.
It is also important to pay attention to which planets cast aspects on the Moon, Mercury, the 12th house, and the ruler of the 12th house.
Sometimes planetary transits can trigger dreams of certain types when they pass through the 12th house or another house that aspects it.
For instance, when Mars transits the 12th house, this period may bring dreams of aggression or violence.
The D30 Trishamsha chart is a divisional chart that reveals misfortunes and hardships.
Examining the 12th house in this chart can help identify difficulties or afflictions that affect the native – even during the state of dreaming – and can shed light on the nature of their dreams and nightmares.
Spiritual dreams or dreams involving spiritual beings are associated with the influence of Mercury, Jupiter, and Ketu upon the Moon or the 12th house.
Additionally, the 9th and 12th houses in the D20 Vishamsha chart (the divisional chart representing the spiritual path in one’s life) can be analyzed to understand the nature of the spiritual dreams the native may experience.
Intuition as a Filter – Antar Nimitta

While nimitta most often serves as an external tool for receiving messages from the Universe, intuition is an inner instrument that helps us filter what we experience in reality.
Intuition is an inner voice, an instant feeling that arises before logic.
In practice, to interpret a nimitta correctly, one must rely on intuition; otherwise, the process remains purely technical – almost like checking the meaning of a word in a dictionary.
Intuition can be developed through meditation and mantra practice.
Types of IntuitionEmotional Intuition – the “gut feeling,” an immediate sense of right or wrong.
A feeling of fatigue, stagnation, or laziness that is unusual for you, or pressure in the abdomen “for no reason” right before going somewhere or meeting someone, may indicate a negative intuitive signal about that meeting.
Example: You plan to visit an apartment for rent or purchase, and a few minutes before leaving, you are suddenly overcome by an unpleasant, strange feeling.
Half an hour later it turns out that the number of rooms is fewer than advertised, the apartment is located inside the owners’ home, and the condition is poor, even though the photos showed recent renovation.
If you are sitting and talking with someone (for example, on a date or at a job interview) and suddenly feel discomfort or tension – as if your hair isn’t in place, prompting you to fix it – this is a very bad sign regarding the other person.
Something in their energy or behavior is disordered or dishonest.
Other sudden sensations that may be manifestations of intuition include:
tension, anxiety, a sudden drop or rise in mood, joy, heaviness in the chest, and similar physical or emotional shifts.
Sometimes difficulty falling asleep (accompanied by a strange feeling) occurs right before something unpleasant happens – or we may wake up in the middle of the night just before an event takes place.
Mental Intuition – a thought or idea that arises suddenly.
At times, even during the first date, within moments, the thought may surface: “This is not my man.” Such intuitive feelings should never be ignored – intuition never lies.
Sometimes we predict something before it happens – a situation or someone’s exact words – and this indicates strong intuition.
Energetic Intuition – sensations or impressions about people, places, or situations.
You know that feeling when you meet someone for the first time and something “murky” about them feels off, even though you can’t explain why?
But because you don’t want to seem judgmental “without reason,” you give the person a chance – and later realize that your initial feeling was absolutely correct.
Certain places with strong energies can also affect sensitive people, causing extreme stress upon arrival or otherwise influencing them energetically – almost like portals.
In some cases (though not always), it is possible to identify such places in advance for a specific person using Vastu or astrocartography (which will be discussed in later chapters).
Spiritual or Inner Intuition from the Subconscious – messages received through guided visualization or dreams (discussed in the previous chapter).
What Can Block Intuition?Intrusive thoughts, stress, fatigue, external noise, fear of decision-making, insecurity, and influences from others – such as emotional manipulation or energetic interference (“energy noise”) – can all create obstacles and blocks to intuition.
Self-care, mindfulness, and inner work on both the emotional and spiritual levels help prevent these blockages and strengthen our trust in intuition – allowing us to hear it more clearly and follow its guidance attentively.
Common MistakesIncorrect Interpretation
It is not always easy to interpret intuitive sensations correctly.
In some cases, the way our mind understands things slightly differs from how the body communicates them.
One thing, however, is certain: the body always sends signals and warnings when necessary.
Sometimes we believe we have fallen in love with a man because we feel “butterflies in the stomach,” a sense of elevation, as though we are about to spread our wings and fly, or we suddenly “hear music in our head,” or feel as if we are “in another dimension” with someone.
The problem is that, in most cases, these are actually body signals warning of danger.
Therefore, it is crucial not to “turn off” the mind and to pay attention to how the other person truly behaves toward us – calmly and objectively.
What the body actually meant at that moment: “Butterflies in the stomach” = illness; A feeling of flight = you should “fly away from here”; Music = alarm (a request to seek shelter); A sensation of “another dimension” = trap or prison (a sign that you should begin planning your escape).
When everything is truly fine in reality, intuition does not start signaling or creating strange sensations in the abdomen.
There is simply peace, quiet, and calmness when being near someone or somewhere that is right for you.
Forgetfulness
Another mistake is to recognize everything correctly yet fail to remember that you must remain cautious afterward and not forget this recognition.
Signals are not one-time events.
If an intuitive sign manifested in a certain way the first time, there is no reason to think that the next time you feel the same thing (regarding another person or place), it will mean something different – because your filter (intuition) has not changed.
Similarly, if several things are broken in one place, it is likely that much more is broken there too.
Example: A group of men – if one of them is inclined to cheat, at least two others in that group are probably the same.
Confusing Fear with Intuition
In some cases, people tend to mistake fear for intuition.
If you feel fear toward something, it does not always indicate an intuitive perception.
If the feeling of fear is not accompanied by a real confirming sign that justifies the concern about the frightening situation, then it is likely not intuitive fear.
Most likely, it stems from a phobia or preconceived notions about that object or situation.
Excessive Emotionality After Various Sensations
If you feel something negative toward someone but have no evidence yet, don’t raise an alarm!
Example: If you dream that your partner is cheating, don’t start an argument until you have proof.
Because if he really is cheating, he will either deny everything and hide it better, or create a scene himself, accusing you for the accusation – saying something like, “How could you accuse me of such a thing?!” And if he is not cheating, he will deny it as well, and in any case, you gain nothing.
Moreover, you should not panic over every negative sign or grieve because of it. If something is meant to happen, it will happen – and most of the time, it is beyond our control. We must learn to accept life as it is and go with its flow.
Signs That Your Intuition Was CorrectAfter making a decision (for example, whether to go somewhere or not), if you feel peace and calmness – this is an excellent sign!
Later, repeated confirmations will appear in reality, showing that the decision was right.
And finally, there will come an inner sense – sometimes long afterward – that you indeed did the right thing.

Relationship Compatibility According to Indian Astrology

“What’s your zodiac sign?”
Many women, at the very beginning of getting to know a man, ask this question with excitement and curiosity – only to immediately reject him upon discovering that he is a Virgo, while they are Gemini, and, after all, Virgo “isn’t compatible” with Gemini… They believe they “need” someone of the Air element. Or at least, that’s what they think.
The problem is that this is an extremely superficial test that says almost nothing about the other person. In many cases, the intuition may indeed be correct – he isn’t “the one” – but not because the poor man was born in the “wrong month.”
The only true way to understand whether he is “the one” or not is to judge by how he treats you.
And if you feel confused – that’s already a clear sign he definitely isn’t your man; moreover, his presence is likely blocking the path to your future husband.
But if you have only just begun dating and are tired of “crazy” or overly clingy men, it’s worth learning how to recognize red flags in the earliest stages of a relationship – and stop wasting your precious time on “spoiled” types.
Personally, I recommend casting a natal chart (both his and yours) exclusively according to the Indian (Vedic) horoscope.
Why? Because it has already been scientifically proven that it reflects the exact and true planetary positions in the sky.
Moreover, it is an ancient system, existing for thousands of years – and it has never failed anyone.
It is so accurate that it can even seem frightening. Each time I opened a man’s natal chart, I eventually realized that the failure of the relationship had not been accidental – and that the breakup could have been foreseen.
That’s why, after recognizing red flags early on, one must never “compromise” or hope that “things will somehow work out,” simply because “nobody’s perfect.”
Yes, nobody is perfect – but it’s far better to be happily single than trapped in a relationship with an unhappy partner.
Today, there are countless tools for building healthy, harmonious relationships – and Indian astrology is one of the most reliable among them.
Before analyzing any man’s natal chart, you should first deeply explore your own.
This helps to understand your karmic patterns and the kinds of challenges you may encounter.
Consequently, you’ll learn what can be done – at the very least, to change your attitude toward the men you meet, and at best – to learn how to choose wisely the one who truly suits you.
Before I present real chart examples, I must clarify: to determine someone’s suitability astrologically, you cannot judge by a single placement.
You must thoroughly analyze the entire chart and only then draw conclusions – and, of course, I will repeat – judge above all by how he treats you.
SynastryCompatibility between two natal charts is evaluated through several factors: the planetary influences one partner’s planets cast upon the other’s; comparison of D1 (Rasi) and D9 (Navamsa) charts; Nakshatra (lunar mansion) compatibility; and a number of specific yogas (planetary combinations).
Compatibility Between Planets in Different Houses
The more cases where the same planet in one partner’s chart is located 5–9 houses apart from that same planet in the other partner’s chart, the higher the compatibility potential.
Example: One partner’s Venus is in Sagittarius, and the other’s Venus is in Aries – that is, five houses apart in one direction and nine in the other.
However, in many cases this alone is not sufficient to guarantee compatibility, love, or a lasting bond.
It may only indicate that “something will happen” – but not necessarily something positive. Sometimes this pattern signifies that one person compromised because the other managed to temporarily satisfy them. One must look carefully at all possible details.
By contrast, when several planets are 6–8 houses apart between the two charts, this often indicates a fundamental mismatch apparent even in the early stages of the relationship. The gap is almost impossible to bridge, as each partner desires a type of behavior or affection that the other simply cannot provide.
