Tales of light. Tima and Emptiness

She was the ideal at the mountaintop: divine beauty, charm, lightness, and compassion. Her golden locks danced with the wind. She sat in a half-lotus position on the soft grass, clad in snow-white robes, her eyes closed, one leg dangling slightly.

A small creature, a cosmic beast, ran and played around her. It had large, round eyes, its fur incredibly fluffy — but this was no ordinary hair. It was colorless, yet when it moved, it shimmered with all the colors of the rainbow, like precious stones sparkling in the sun. But this unusual fur, due to its thickness, seemed white. This was a beast never seen before, possessing the ability to travel to other worlds and radiating supernatural love.

The goddess opened her eyes fully. Her calm appearance radiated interest, as if someone had called her. Below, nothing was visible but clouds, and with a gentle, flowing motion, she parted the clouds slightly and saw a mirror. This mirror showed her life on earth, in particular one fading family. Someone had prayed to her, asking her to save them. The demons of passion were devouring them one by one, and they, drunk with alcohol, were dying of cancer. Then the Goddess felt compassion in her heart and decided to help, but she could not fully descend into this world. She was bound by duty between worlds — to uphold the law and submit to her asceticism in the name of love.

She turned her gaze to the little animal. He understood immediately; their eyes met, capturing an instantaneous connection.

«You are a part of me, my dear. I am sending you to earth to save a family. Great people lived in this family, but because of the demons, almost all of them fell into addiction and desire death. Your task is to lead them to the light.»

The beast didn’t answer, proudly accepting the assignment.

«I won’t be able to take you back, but you can call on me in difficult times, and I will come to you — for I am you.»

«Agreed,» the beast said mentally, unable to speak.

«You will be born a girl, Tina. You won’t have a father nearby; I will act as his substitute, and I will try to evoke memories of me in you. You will have a mother, but your grandparents will raise you.»

«You will have enough light to illuminate the place you arrive at — enough for them to learn their lessons.»

Episode 1. Something’s Wrong

Tina woke up as usual around 9:00 a.m. The sun was shining, and it was as hot as ever outside. She was saved by the air conditioner, which had been humming all night.

Today she slept alone. For several days now, she’d been living alone in a room she rented from a middle-aged Vietnamese woman who played the piano quite skillfully and often sang. Of course, she also taught.

The three-story apartment in Ho Chi Minh City was clean, with a large courtyard and a garage leading to the kitchen. The house was cozy, always fresh and bright.

The room Tina rented also had a European-style balcony, similar to those in Paris, with patterned frames, and a private bathroom with a shower in a soft peach shade.

Everything in this house was as usual. But Tina was overcome by a slight chill — cold shivers ran up and down her body. She clearly sensed something unusual, her eyes frightened. Grasping the sheets with her hands, she spoke aloud, as if trying to force out and batter her state against the walls, to calibrate herself with the sound of her voice, the meaning of her words.
