Going to a Birthday Party
Last Saturday, I went to my friend’s birthday party. It was a special occasion because she was turning 16, and her parents had planned a big celebration. The party was held at her house, and she had invited all of her friends from school.
When I arrived, the house was decorated with colorful balloons and banners. There was a large table filled with snacks, including chips, cake, and candy. There was also a big birthday cake in the middle of the table, decorated with flowers and candles. It looked amazing!
My friend greeted me with a big smile and a hug. She was wearing a beautiful dress and looked very happy. I gave her a gift that I had wrapped in colorful paper. She opened it and thanked me. I could tell that she really liked it. After that, we went outside to the garden where the party was being held.
There was music playing, and everyone was dancing and having fun. Some of the guests were playing games, while others were chatting and enjoying the food. We all sang happy birthday to my friend before she blew out the candles on her cake. It was a fun and exciting moment.
After the cake, we played a few games like musical chairs and a treasure hunt. Everyone had a great time, and there were lots of laughs. As the evening went on, we had more snacks and talked about our favorite memories from school.
At the end of the party, my friend thanked everyone for coming and gave us small party favors. I had a wonderful time at the party, and I was so happy for my friend. It was a perfect celebration, and I am sure she will remember it for a long time.

The First Day at a New School
My first day at a new school was both exciting and a little scary. I had been looking forward to meeting new friends and starting fresh, but I was also nervous because I didn’t know anyone and everything seemed so new.
I woke up early that morning, feeling a little bit anxious but also curious about what the day would bring. My parents made sure I had everything I needed, and I packed my school bag carefully with my books, notebooks, and lunch. I also wore my favorite outfit to feel more confident.
When I arrived at the school, I felt a bit nervous. The school was big, and there were so many students walking around. I didn’t know where to go at first, but luckily, a friendly teacher showed me to my classroom. She smiled and welcomed me, which made me feel a bit better.
The classroom was bright and colorful, and there were lots of desks with students already sitting at them. I found an empty desk near the window and sat down. I was happy when a girl in the class, named Sarah, came over and introduced herself. She asked if I was new, and when I said yes, she smiled and said, «Don’t worry, you’ll make friends quickly!» It made me feel a little more comfortable.
As the day went on, I started to feel better. I got to know some of the other students, and we did fun activities together. We played some games to get to know each other, and I learned a lot about my new classmates. In the morning, we had math class, and in the afternoon, we had art, which was really fun! I enjoyed drawing and coloring with the other students.
At lunchtime, Sarah and a few other students invited me to sit with them. They were very friendly, and we talked about our favorite TV shows and hobbies. I was relieved to find that they were kind and easy to talk to.
By the end of the day, I was feeling much more relaxed. My first day at a new school turned out to be a lot better than I had expected. I was excited about coming back the next day, and I was looking forward to making more new friends.

A Family Dinner
Last Sunday, my family had a special dinner at home. It was a warm evening, and we were all excited to spend some time together. My parents, my younger brother, and I all helped with preparing the meal. We wanted to make it a special occasion because we hadn’t had a big family dinner in a while.
My mother decided to cook spaghetti with tomato sauce and meatballs, which is one of our favorite dishes. She spent the afternoon in the kitchen, chopping vegetables and making the sauce from scratch. The smell of the food filled the house, and it made everyone’s mouths water. My father helped by setting the table, and my brother and I made a salad with lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. We also baked some garlic bread to go with the pasta.
When everything was ready, we all sat down at the dining table. It was a big table, and we had enough room for everyone. The food looked delicious, and we couldn’t wait to start eating. My mother served the spaghetti, and we all took a little bit of everything. We talked about our week and shared stories while we ate. The conversation was light and fun, and we laughed a lot.
After dinner, we had dessert. My father had made his famous chocolate cake, which is always a hit with the family. We all enjoyed a slice of cake with a cup of tea. It was the perfect way to end the meal.
Spending time together as a family is always something I look forward to. The dinner was not just about the food, but also about the conversations and the memories we created. We finished the evening by cleaning up together and watching a movie as a family. It was a wonderful night, and I’m grateful for moments like these.

A Surprise Gift
Last week, I received a surprise gift from my best friend, Sarah. It was my birthday, but I hadn’t expected to get any presents because we had agreed not to exchange gifts this year. Sarah had different plans, though. She wanted to surprise me, and she certainly did!
On the morning of my birthday, I woke up to a message from Sarah wishing me a happy birthday. I was already happy because of the nice message, but little did I know, she had something special in store. Later that day, she came over to my house with a small, beautifully wrapped box. She handed it to me with a big smile, and I couldn’t wait to open it.
When I opened the box, I found a beautiful necklace inside. It was simple, yet elegant, with a small silver pendant shaped like a star. I was so surprised and touched. I never expected such a thoughtful gift. Sarah told me she had been saving up for it for months, and that made it even more meaningful. It was not just the gift, but the fact that she had put so much thought into it.
I immediately put the necklace on, and it felt so special. Sarah also gave me a birthday card with a sweet message inside. It was such a wonderful surprise, and it made my day even better. I felt lucky to have such a caring and thoughtful friend.
After that, we spent the rest of the day together, talking and laughing. We didn’t need any more presents to enjoy each other’s company. The gift was a beautiful gesture, but the best part of the day was simply spending time with a friend who cared so much about me. It was a birthday I’ll never forget.

My Daily Routine
Every day, I follow a routine that helps me stay organized and productive. I usually wake up at 7:00 AM, and the first thing I do is turn off my alarm and get out of bed. I feel tired at first, but I know I need to start the day. I brush my teeth, wash my face, and get dressed. After that, I go to the kitchen to have breakfast.
For breakfast, I typically have a bowl of cereal with milk or sometimes toast with butter and jam. I also drink a glass of juice or water. Breakfast is an important part of my day because it gives me the energy I need for the morning.
After breakfast, I pack my school bag with my books and homework. I make sure everything is ready for the day ahead. Then, I leave home around 8:00 AM to catch the bus to school. The bus ride usually takes about 15 minutes, and I like to listen to music or talk to my friends during the trip.
At school, I have classes from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. During the day, I attend different subjects, such as math, science, and English. I like some subjects more than others, but I always try my best to pay attention and do well in all of them. We have a break at 11:00 AM, and I usually chat with my friends or go outside for some fresh air.
After school, I head home. I usually get home around 3:30 PM. When I arrive, I take a short break to relax. I might watch TV for a little while or read a book. After my break, I start doing my homework. I always try to finish my homework before dinner so I can enjoy the evening without any stress.
