At 7:30, I went to my room to do my homework. I had English and math.
«You must finish your homework before you relax,» my mother said.
«I know,» I answered.
I worked for about one hour. It was not easy, but I finished everything.
«Great,» I said. «Now I can relax.»
In the evening, I sat in the living room with my family. We watched TV together. My little brother asked many questions.
«Why is he running?» he asked.
«Because he is late,» I answered.
We laughed and enjoyed the time together. I felt calm and happy.
At 9:30, I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. Then I went to my room. I read a book for a short time.
Before I slept, I thought,
«This was a simple evening, but it was very nice.»
I turned off the light and went to sleep. I was ready for a new day.

Doing Chores with My Family
My name is Alex, and I want to tell you about a day when I did chores with my family. I don’t always like chores, but this day was different.
Last Saturday, I woke up at 8:00 a.m. It was the weekend, so I wanted to sleep more.
«Alex, you should get up,» my father said.
«Why?» I asked.
«We must clean the house today,» he answered.
I got up slowly and went to the kitchen. My mother was making breakfast.
«Good morning,» she said.
«Good morning,» I answered. «Do we really have to clean today?»
«Yes,» she said. «We must do it together.»
After breakfast, we started our work. My father cleaned the living room. My mother worked in the kitchen. My sister cleaned her room.
«And you, Alex,» my mother said, «you should clean your room first.»
«Okay,» I answered.
I went to my room and looked around. There were books, clothes, and papers everywhere.
«This will take a long time,» I thought.
First, I made my bed. Then I picked up my clothes and put them in the closet. I cleaned my desk and organized my books. After that, I cleaned the floor.
My sister came into my room.
«Wow, your room looks better,» she said.
«Thank you,» I answered. «It is not easy.»
After I finished my room, I helped my father. We cleaned the windows together.
«You can do it very well,» he said.
«Thanks,» I said.
Then I helped my mother in the kitchen. I washed the dishes and dried them.
«You must be careful,» she said.
«I will,» I answered.
At 1:00 p.m., we finished all the chores. The house was clean and nice.
«Great job, everyone!» my father said.
«Yes, we did it!» my sister said.
We felt tired, but we were happy.
«Now we can relax,» my mother said.
In the afternoon, we sat together and watched a movie. We had some snacks and drinks.
«This is much better than cleaning,» I said.
«Yes,» my sister laughed, «but the house is clean now!»
In the evening, I thought about the day. Chores are not always fun, but they are important. We should help our family and keep our home clean.
Next time, I will not complain. Maybe.

A Late Morning
My name is Kevin, and I want to tell you about a late morning in my life. I usually wake up early, but last Sunday was different.
On Sunday, I did not have school, so I didn’t set my alarm. I went to bed late on Saturday because I watched a movie. I felt very tired.
In the morning, I was sleeping when my mother opened the door.
«Kevin, are you still sleeping?» she asked.
«Mmm… yes,» I said quietly.
«Look at the time!» she said. «It is 10:30!»
«What?» I jumped out of bed. «10:30? That is very late!»
I usually wake up at 7:00, so this was a big surprise.
«You should not sleep so late,» my mother said.
«I know,» I answered. «I went to bed too late.»
I quickly made my bed and went to the bathroom. I washed my face and brushed my teeth. I looked tired, but I felt better after that.
When I went to the kitchen, my parents were already having breakfast.
«Good morning,» my father said.
«Good morning… or good afternoon?» I said and laughed.
There was some bread, cheese, and fruit on the table. I made a sandwich and poured some juice.
«You must eat something,» my mother said.
«Yes, I am very hungry,» I answered.
While I ate, we talked about the day.
«What are your plans?» my father asked.
«I want to do my homework and maybe go for a walk,» I said.
«That sounds good,» he said.
After breakfast, I went to my room. I started my homework. It was not easy because I still felt a little sleepy.
«You should focus,» I told myself.
I worked for about one hour and finished everything.
«Great,» I said. «Now I can relax.»
In the afternoon, I went outside. The weather was nice and sunny. I met my friend Leo in the park.
«Hi, Kevin!» he said.
«Hi!» I answered.
«You woke up late today?» he asked.
«How do you know?» I laughed.
«You look sleepy,» he said.
We walked, talked, and laughed. I felt much better.
In the evening, I came home and had dinner with my family. Then I watched a little TV and read a book.
Before going to bed, I thought,
«Next time, I should go to bed earlier.»
It was a slow morning, but it became a good day.
